There is not a single engineer or manager who wants to find out that they just designed a new circuit that resembles one that already existed.<\/p>\n<p>The Cold Reality!<\/p>\n<p>Just about all companies that I am aware of struggle with how to achieve this. It is not a simple task to implement circuit block re-use.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You need the ability to create a \u201cLibrary\u201d of circuit blocks that can be used by both design authoring and design planning tools.<\/li>\n<li>All the appropriate engineers need access to the contents.<\/li>\n<li>The library needs to be managed:\n<ul>\n<li>Approval control<\/li>\n<li>Read\/write access control<\/li>\n<li>Easily searchable<\/li>\n<li>Etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Start with the basics.<\/h4>\n<p>Do not bite off too big a chunk of the task.
